Selwyn Wong Doo
Selwyn, along with the late Anne Wong Doo, has practised at the Wong Doo Health Clinic for over 35 years. He's a second generation acupuncturist and herbalist, born and bred in New Zealand, following in the footsteps of his late father, William Wong Doo, who set up the clinic in 1939 in Auckland.
Selwyn is a Treatment Provider of ACC treatments. He's willing to listen, learn and be taught despite his many years of experience. His wicked and quick sense of humour is well received by his clients, and he has a caring nature. Jovial, hard-working and not afraid to get his hands dirty, Selwyn is passionate about his acupuncture. He is co-owner of the Wong Doo Health Clinic.

I came into your clinic with a headache associated with tension. I had the headache all day. It was situated at the top of my head and I could feel the pain also into my sinuses. After having acupuncture for blocked energies in the back of the neck vertebrae, the headache was relieved.
My daughter 7lb 5oz arrived at 0013am on the 9th June 2014. I had a very rapid labour, only making it to the hospital 5 minutes before she was born! I want to thank you for the exceptional care you provided me with my back injury during pregnancy. You really were a miracle worker!
With 2 weeks to go before giving birth to my first child at age 42, I was recommended Selwyn to help reduce my high blood pressure so that I could have a natural birth. A healthy boy was born one day after the due date and I can say he is very placid and mellow in character.
I'm from the Pacific Islands and I was in NZ getting specialist treatment such as MRI for my back problems. After my first treatment I had a lot more energy and my back pain eased to the point that I did not require my walking stick as often. My back has kept on improving with further treatments.
Every year in November I visit my Acupuncturist, Selwyn, for some relaxation and memory retention in preparation for school exams. I feel much more relaxed and my concentration is greatly improved after the treatments.
My husband and I are keen runners. We run marathons here in NZ and overseas, e.g. New York. Under ACC treatments, Selwyn has been able to help heal my injured ankle after being hit from behind by a passing car.
I was involved in a car accident. I got whiplash, mental confusion, memory loss, poor sense of balance and anxiety attacks. After 3 Acupuncture treatments most of my symptoms had improved by 80%. After further treatments all my symptoms disappeared and I can now return to work.
I was in so much discomfort with my lower back. It was painful just standing up without any movement. After my treatment it was as if I never had a problem. I was able to fly back home to California and carry on without any problems whatsoever. It was fantastic!
